About the Gallery

Chelsie Nicole Contemporary features the work of graphite and charcoal artist Chelsie Nicole Murfee, known for drawings that capture genuine, unposed moments of contemporary life. Through meticulous layering of ink, graphite, and charcoal, her pieces blend the softness of painting with the precision of drawing, creating portraits that feel honest, intimate, and deeply observant.

Chelsie’s work has received recognition from:

• Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art
• European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona
Strokes of Genius publications
The Artist Magazine

Several pieces — Cross the River, Signpost 2020, and Watching and Waiting — are also part of the Lunar Codex Nova and Polaris Collection, time capsules headed to the Moon. This marks one of the first major placements of contemporary art on the lunar surface in decades.
