Paca Your Curiosity & Head to Sparta
Looking to slow down and spend time somewhere a little unexpected? 🦙🌿
Details Above All-pacas in Sparta offers a peaceful agritourism experience where visitors can take their time, ask questions, and connect with alpacas and other farm animals in a relaxed, welcoming setting. This small farm is home to alpacas, a variety of peacocks, mini horses, chickens, and more, creating a charming countryside escape just outside the busier corridors of southwest Missouri.
It’s the kind of place where curiosity is encouraged and conversations happen naturally.
What to Expect:
Farm tours are available by appointment and provide an up-close look at life on a working alpaca farm. With a minimum requested donation of $10 per person, visitors can walk the grounds, spend time near the animals, and learn about alpaca care, fiber, personalities, and farm operations.
There’s no rush. This experience is designed for guests who want to take their time, enjoy the outdoors, and ask all the questions they’ve ever had about alpacas.
Sidewalk pathways run throughout the animal areas, making it easier for visitors of all ages to explore comfortably. While the farm may have areas with uneven ground typical of outdoor farm settings, these pathways provide improved access for many guests.
More Than a Tour:
Beyond the alpacas, visitors can admire the farm’s colorful peacocks, meet mini horses, and enjoy the simple beauty of rural life in Sparta. It’s a great outing for families, homeschool groups, scout troops, agriculture students, or anyone looking for a hands-on learning experience outside the classroom.
After the tour, stop by The Copper Penny Farm Store to browse alpaca fiber apparel, alpaca dryer balls, peacock feathers, local artwork, seasonal décor, and unique farm-inspired gifts.
