Profile
Welcome the changing seasons with slow stitching.
Slow stitching is a mindful method of hand sewing that combines the traditional techniques of sashiko, boro, embroidery, and needlepoint into an unexpected, intuitive creative journey.
Ashleigh Hawkins of Roaming Hills Studio will guide you through these time-honored stitching traditions using vintage fabric, buttons, ric rac, and other unique materials. Whether you’re new to hand stitching or looking to rediscover a creative hobby, this workshop is the perfect way to embrace the cooler seasons.
Participants will receive an embroidery hoop, needle, needle threader, pins, fabric, buttons, and a variety of other materials to begin their slow stitching journey.
